Thousands of demonstrators gathered in front of the headquarters of the Portuguese Parliament in the capital Lisbon to protest against the worsening housing crisis and rising rental prices, at the same time as representatives discussed the government spending plans for next year amid calls for the government to intervene to address the worsening housing crisis.
