An American judge has extended an injunction to stop President Donald Trump's plans to renovate a historic golf course in Washington, D.C., after she found the removal of trees on the site "unjustified." This renovation, which is the focus of a lawsuit over environmental and historical concerns, is one of the projects that Trump wants to implement to reshape the prominent Israeli roads in the American capital. "The court does not speak for trees. He only speaks for the rule of law," U.S. District Judge Anna Rice said in her decision filed in District Court for the District of Columbia on Monday. Her order prohibited the government from "removing or damaging additional trees" on the golf course. He also ordered the government to provide written notice 10 business days before making any "irreversible changes" to the park, pending the outcome of the lawsuit. Trump said in an online post Tuesday that the government would appeal the decision and that his administration would close "the East Potomac Golf Course site as scheduled on November 15 for renovation and reconstruction."
