The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) said on Tuesday that Supreme Leader Mujtaba Khamenei met with the secretary of the country's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Razai, a day after the latter attended a meeting of the countries of the Mecca Mutual Defense Treaty with Iranian officials in Tehran.
The official agency reported that Khamenei informed Razai of the necessity to fulfill the conditions set by state officials in order to end the war and leave a situation of "neither war nor peace".
The meeting also discussed strengthening bilateral relations with neighboring countries based on sustainable and mutual interests, in addition to "protecting national and regional security through the management of the Strait of Hormuz."
Khamenei assured the secretary of the National Security Council that making correct and thoughtful decisions requires "the development of a road map based on a comprehensive vision for every step from the starting point to the ending point."
