Egypt launches an electronic system to control the distribution of oil products and prevent leakage and smuggling. The trial operation of the system is planned to begin in the Port Said Governorate, starting today, Sunday. The electronic system relies on reading and collecting fuel supply data using the electronic label issued by the traffic units of the Ministry of Interior to track the supply chain of the petroleum products from their cycle stages until reaching the final consumer. The trial operation of this system in Port Said will continue for a month so that car owners who have never installed the sticker can adjust their situation as well as complete the coverage of all car gas stations in the Nafe.
