The ministries of energy in Saudi Arabia and Singapore intend to make arrangements for the storage of Saudi crude oil in Singapore. Storage operations are expected to begin in the second half of 2027. Saudi crude oil will be stored at Jurong Shelf, Jurong Island, Singapore. The Jurong Underground Rock Cavities are located within a petrochemical and refinery complex in the southern part of Singapore. Its capacity is about 1.47 million cubic meters of liquid hydrocarbons, including crude oil and condensates. That's equivalent to about 9 million barrels, according to JTC, which owns the facility. This capacity does not necessarily represent the amount that "Aramco" will store because the volume of Saudi crude oil intended to be stored has not been specified. details
