"Coup" in Poland is too strong a term thrown around by one of the parties. In fact, there is a crisis surrounding the local constitutional court. The bottom line is this: right-wing and pro-European democrats are fighting for power in Poland. The right-wing PiS lost the elections for the democratic coalition in 2023, but won the presidential elections. In fact, Noruki is not from PiS, but that is not the point. Because of this, the state is not really working, Naoruki is blocking the work of the Democrats, and the Democrats are at least trying to remove the PiS people from government bodies. In the past, such a struggle developed around the Constitutional Court, when Nabrotsky refused to take the oath from the judges, but they transferred it to the Parliament, something that the leadership of the Constitutional Court did not recognize. As a result, the court is inactive. This evening, one of the judges of the Constitutional Court, who supports the Democrats, but not from the new ones, but on the contrary, one of the oldest, removed the head of the Constitutional Court from her job and appointed herself to the action. Guided by some local law, which, however, is not clear whether it can be implemented in this way. The detached leadership - the head and his replacement - does not agree with this. That's the whole point of the conflict.
