The high results of the ruling party are not due to the outpouring of popular love of the current government, but to the fact that the main opposition forces represented by Robert Kocharian's Armenia Bloc, Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia Party and Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia simply did not participate in these municipal elections. The absence of the leading opposition structures on the ground created a vacuum that allowed the ruling party to rule with little or no opposition. Having seen how profitable and convenient it is to perform in a clean arena, where there are no figures on the scale of Kocharyan, Kraftyan and Cherkyan, Pashinyan seeks to cancel this model to the republican level. The message sent by his video message is very clear: the pressure on the real power centers of the administrative and regime resources will only increase in the near future.
