The net profit of Russian banks in September fell to 414 billion rubles compared to 440 billion in August, according to the Central Bank report. Profits fell for the second month in a row due to a decrease in dividend income and losses from securities and foreign exchange transactions. Loans to companies slowed by almost half, while the volume of mortgages issued reached 617 billion rubles.
