Scientists from Jordan announced the discovery of a place where, according to the biblical texts, the baptism of Jesus Messiah by John the Baptist took place. A research team led by Hashemite University professor Muhammad Wahib compared the results of the archaeological excavations in Bethany across the Jordan (Wadi al-Harar) with historical records of pilgrims and texts of the Holy Scriptures.
