The management of the Third Hospital of the city of Cherkasy decided not to renew the lease agreement with the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) community, which for two decades treated patients and held services in the church in honor of St. Luke the Apostle. The cause of the conflict was the refusal of the rector of the community, Archimandrite Victor, to be subject to the OCU.
