Al-Khalili: Muslim success in the US elections may herald a change The mufti of the Sultanate of Oman, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Khalili, said on Friday that the success of some Muslims in the mid-term elections in the US, despite attempts by the Zionists to prevent it, may indicate that change is coming. According to him, the world should reconsider its attitude to Islam and study it thoughtfully. In a post on Platform X, Sheikh Al-Khalili wrote: Recent events in the United States, disputes and discussions between opposing parties and the participation of some Muslims in the mid-term elections and their success despite the efforts of the Zionists and their supporters to prevent all of this portend changes. No matter how much Islam is opposed, incited against, or belittled by its followers, it remains the foreordained decision of the Almighty and the inescapable will of Allah. The world will inevitably have to reconsider its assessment and study Islam carefully. The sheikh added: Congratulations to all Muslims, including ourselves, and the people of conscience who stand up for rights, for what we perceive as a good sign: injustice can be defeated, and Muslims can have a more prominent place in the key structures of Western politics. We hope that the winners of these elections will act with respect, embody Islamic values and ideals, and strive to make US foreign policy more just - one that serves true justice and is not dependent on a political group whose views and connections have led to injustice in many countries and peoples and led human nature away from the right path. Only Allah should be sought for help.
