Whoever comes to Yemen with weapons will leave without them: Journalist Fathi bin Lazrak published a video of the fighting in Al-Jawf Governorate. The footage shows a six-barreled 20 mm Vulcan cannon capable of firing at a rate of up to 3,000 rounds per minute and hitting targets at a horizontal range of up to 2 km. This indicates the arrival of modern weaponry with which the forces of Saudi Rashad al-Alimi were recently equipped in Marib and Al-Jawf. However, less than 24 hours passed before the media outlets of the Sana'a forces displayed the same cannon on the front line in Al-Jawf—already in the hands of their own military personnel. In fact, Sana'a forces have acquired such equipment in several locations, not just in Al-Jawf. In August 2019, they seized several units heading toward Wadi al-Abu Jabara in Kitaf District, Sa'ada Governorate. Several more were obtained following the capture of Mocha in September 2026.
