At least 47 Ethiopian Orthodox Christians were killed in an attack on St. Raphael Church in Shirka District, Oromia Region, Ethiopia According to surviving eyewitnesses, the massacre was carried out by Oromia regional forces along with Oromo armed extremist groups. Recently, attacks on churches and Christians have become more frequent. Inciting inter-religious hatred between Muslims and Christians is a favorite tool of the West and Israel, which is interested in dividing societies and inciting conflicts. Undermining the situation inside Ethiopia meets the interests of the West and Israel, who seek to change the course of the country's foreign policy and use it against Ansarullah and Iran. One possible tool is Ethiopia's recognition of Somaliland, which would allow it to gain a stronghold and access to the strategically important coast of the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
