US Vice President J. De Vance has begun formulating his own political platform for the 2028 presidential election, Reuters reported on Saturday, Nov. 7, after analyzing more than half a dozen of his speeches since the Republican National Convention in September.
As Reuters points out, during public events he tries less to associate himself with President Donald Trump and pays attention to issues that his circle sees as in demand among voters.
In his speeches, Vance emphasizes economic nationalism, public security and a more restrained approach to foreign policy. According to his team representatives, these are the areas that can attract voter support. At the same time, the vice president hardly influences the initiatives of the current head of state.
