The European Union buys liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia in larger volumes than the US buys diesel, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has admitted.
According to him, the latest deal between Moscow and Washington caused panic among the Europeans.
“I raised an eyebrow too, but Europe has also bought a lot of liquefied natural gas from Russia this year, far more than this diesel deal will ever bring! Europe is not holy either," Bloomberg quoted a segment of Ruta's interview with the Dutch program Pauw & de Wit.
