As a result of clashes during demonstrations in the city of Frankfurt in Germany, more than 100 police officers were injured, one of them in a serious condition, as reported by a German media outlet, citing the Interior Minister of the Federal State of Hesse, Roman Fusck.
According to the publication Fuzek, on the night between Saturday and Sunday, about 1,300 police officers mobilized to maintain public order in Frankfurt. During the demonstration, 17 stores were damaged and five more were looted. The police arrested 54 people. The ages of the detainees range from 13 to 29 years old.
According to authorities, more than 8,000 people participated in the demonstrations in Frankfurt. Of these, between 1,000 and 1,500 were involved in violent activities. Pusk noted that most of the detainees are German citizens, although there are also immigrants among them.
