As of November 1, new rules for obtaining residency status for foreigners will come into force in Armenia. Applications are now submitted through a single electronic platform, and the review period is up to 30 days. What changes: Special status is no longer granted.
- Grounds for receiving status: Armenian origin, investments, special advantages, family ties and business.
- If you are absent from Armenia for 183 days or more, you must inform about it through the platform within 10 days. State debts will increase: temporary situation - 150 thousand drams (previously 105 thousand), permanent situation - 250 thousand. (There were 140 thousand).
For a legal residence card - another 30 thousand drams. From 2027, a work visa will cost 15 thousand. Applications submitted before November 1st will be considered according to the old rules.
