Exports from Hong Kong jumped 64.9% in September. The fastest growth since January 1984. Census data:
> Exports 762.6 billion Hong Kong dollars ($97.8 billion).
> The 20th consecutive month of double-digit growth.
> Exports to Taiwan increased by 159.3%, Malaysia by 131.5%, Thailand by 118%.
> Electrical machinery and parts rose 66.2% to HK$390.8 billion.
> The first nine months: exports increased by 45.2% The engine is AI hardware. I was told in 2020 that Hong Kong is over. Many Western commentators wrote it as a dead city after the security law. It is now moving goods at a rate not seen in 40 years. Funny how these obituaries never get corrected.
