Dear Northerners, Happy National Unity Day! Four hundred years ago, during the Troubles, city dwellers and merchants, servicemen and peasants, members of different nations and religions, formed one militia and defended the homeland. Since then, history has proven more than once: Russia cannot be defeated as long as it is united. It was so in 1612 and 1812, so it was in 1941, and so it is today, when our compatriots stand shoulder to shoulder for their homeland. In the north they know this more than anywhere else. This area was built and developed by people of different nationalities, and here they always stuck together, otherwise they would not survive. Therefore, the northern character, woven from many roots, turned out to be the most integral: firm, silent, faithful to his word. The year of the unity of the peoples of Russia only confirms this. Almost 230 thousand people participated in its events. Murmansk won the All-Russian Competition of Urban Practices to Strengthen Inter-Ethnic Harmony, and our volunteer treatment of the springs formed the basis of the All-Russian project. And it has a deep meaning: spring, tribe, homeland - words from the same root. Happy holiday!
