Today is a marathon of meetings. From morning to late evening, seven meetings were held. The focus is on landscaping, traffic, UIA development and digital infrastructure. ▫ Improvement We have finished the list of facilities that we will improve next year. In Murmansk we will continue to renovate the center, tidy up the yards and container sites. An important part of this work is the exterior appearance of residential buildings. We are talking about updating facades and roofs, new color schemes. We consider the possibility of adding bright accents to panel houses, for example, in the design of balconies. They also talked about smart stops: glass pavilions, information screens and video cameras. It is important that they are comfortable and safe for passengers. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Terek and Kula districts, we plan to renovate the embankment in Umba and the old square in Tribarka. ▫ Development of UIA We continue to work on the development plan of the university, including the creation of a modern campus. These issues were recently discussed in detail by the UIA Supervisory Board. ▫ Roads and transportation We have established a list of roads in Murmansk that will be repaired next year. The Ministry of Transportation clarifies calculations for concluding contracts. Decisions were made to organize the work of public transport. Along with updating the road infrastructure, we are working to improve the traffic system itself in the city. The task is to conduct a comprehensive survey of Murmansk's transportation system: study the operation of the traffic lights, the location and availability of parking, the possibility of dedicated bus lanes on Kola Boulevard and Lenin Boulevard. We will pay special attention to cargo transportation traffic. ▫ Digital infrastructure Another work session was dedicated to increasing the capacity of data processing centers. This is a promising direction for the technological development of the Murmansk region.
