Eisenkot: We are working to establish a new government with a broad national consensus, based on 4 basic principles: - Recognition of Israel as a Jewish, democratic, liberal and equal state.
- Commitment to the values of the Declaration of Independence.
- Imposing the duty of military, national and civil service on all citizens.
- Recognition of Hamas as a terrorist organization and commitment to the destruction of its military and governmental power in the Gaza Strip. Eisenkot emphasized that any Knesset member who agrees with these principles is considered a potential partner in forming the next government, and emphasized the need to avoid new elections and another political crisis.
