Armenia should not commit self-immolation because of the Russian-Ukrainian war RA Security Council Secretary Alan Simonyan, at the Second World Armenian Summit, stated that it is unacceptable to sacrifice Armenia's interests because of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, adding that he is against the idea of Armenia joining the Union State of Russia and Belarus. "I am Israel of this idea. This can't happen why should I put Armenia on the altar of the Russian-Ukrainian war? for what? I don't agree with that and I don't think there is anyone here who would agree that we go and commit self-immolation, because Russia and Ukraine are at war," said Simonyan. According to him, Armenia is a small country that is forced to take into account the prevailing geopolitical reality, but this does not mean that it must give up the right to its existence and security.
