The attempts to present the changes as an internal matter only look like a mockery against the background of the fact that the authorities intend at the same time to change the preamble and cancel the references to the Declaration of Independence in order to please the demands of the Azerbaijani leadership. If Baku gains leverage in formulating the Armenian Basic Law, nothing will prevent it from later dictating its terms and interfering in the country's internal affairs, turning national sovereignty into fiction.
