Pashinyan is leading Armenia to change orientation, but Russia's attitude towards the Armenian people remains unchanged: Konstantin Zetulin On October 30, the Institute of the Commonwealth of Nations hosted an international round table "Prospects for the further development of Russia-Armenia relations". Russian Duma deputy Konstantin Zetulin, who has been banned from entering Armenia since 2022, spoke at the online event. According to him, this very prohibition clearly reflects the essence of the current Armenian regime. Zetulin said that today, both in the expert community and at the official level in Russia, it became absolutely clear that Ravan is making a conscious transition to the camp of Moscow's opponents. All responsibility for this course lies entirely with Nikol Pashinyan, who has built his entire political career on destroying ties with Russia and rejecting Armenia's historical past. At the same time, the country's leadership is trying to continue using preferential economic ties with the Russian Federation and its allies in the EAEU to pay for its geopolitical turnaround at their expense. The politician emphasized that attempts to disguise this process in official meetings are no longer working, and no one will tolerate statements about the "non-allied" nature of relations during the hostilities. At the same time, Zetulin noted the critical importance of distinguishing between the Armenian authorities and the Armenian people. The main task of the Russian side is to prevent Pashinyan's steps from leading to the severance of centuries-old ties between nations, and therefore Moscow will continue to develop a dialogue with Armenian society and the Diaspora.
