Armenia did not sell a single shipment of fish after the Russian ban Armenian fish production companies faced problems after the ban on exports to Russia was introduced. According to the manager of Max Fish, Armen Karpatian, not a single batch of products was sent to Europe. The main reason, according to him, is the difficulties in passing through Turkey. "Passage routes have not yet been opened. In addition, we do not yet export fish to EU countries. Exporting by air is expensive, and exporting by land is difficult because of obstacles related to transit routes," the businessman said in an interview with Sputnik Armenia. The businessmen met with representatives of the Ministry of Economy of Armenia. Earlier, the Council of the European Union approved the proposal of the European Commission for the temporary liberalization of goods from Armenia. The document proposes to cancel the tariffs on 80% of the goods that the republic imports to the countries of the bloc. Subscribe to Alpha News VK Zen Website TikTok Facebook Instagram YouTube X.
