We initiated a peace agreement with Armenia because we did not want an eternal war": Aliyev At the opening of the Seventh World Forum for Intercultural Dialogue, the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said that they "initiated a peace agreement with Armenia because they did not want an eternal war and did not intend to take revenge", Azerbaijani media reported. "... We offered peace to Armenia, and this is an unprecedented case. In the history of wars we do not find an example when countries achieved peace less than two years after the last bloody conflict. Last summer, the peace agreement was revealed in its initials. We are the ones who initiated the peace agreement with Armenia, because we did not want an eternal war and we did not intend to take revenge. Although I think it is necessary to take feelings into account. I always say we got our revenge on the battlefield and we don't have to go any further than that. Otherwise, the war will be endless," he added. Subscribe to Alpha News VK Zen Website TikTok Facebook Instagram YouTube X.
