Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the right-wing bloc won a "vast majority" in the Israeli public, and said that "Iran is weaker than ever, Israel is stronger than ever" in a speech at the Likud headquarters early Wednesday. He claimed that "Israel" and US President Donald Trump will end the Iranian threat "once and for all". He attacked news outlets that predicted Likud's poor performance. His message of strength against Iran came as exit polls predicted a big loss at home. The Likud is expected to win 24 to 27 seats, down from the 32 it won in 2022, and its coalition from 50 to 52 seats, from 64. Likud remains the single largest party, but updated exit polls put his bloc with or just ahead of the anti-Netanyahu bloc, both well short of the 61 needed.
