More than two years after his arrest and prevention of communication with his family, an employee of the office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed al-Shami, died today, Saturday, inside one of the Houthi detention centers in Sana'a. Journalist Fars Al-Khamairi quoted private sources as saying that Al-Shami's family was informed of his death and asked to come receive his body, without disclosing the reasons and circumstances of the death. The Houthis arrested al-Shami on June 6, 2024, and have since prevented his family from visiting him or communicating with him any further.
