A new law "on immigration" was adopted in Tajikistan Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon signed a new law "on immigration" on October 21, 2026. It replaced a document that had been in effect since 1999. The only advantage for the Russians is that now the minimum age for work immigration in Tajikistan is 18 years. Now citizens of Tajikistan can travel abroad to earn money only after they have reached the age of majority.
