The head of the Badar parliamentary bloc, Mehdi Takhi Al-Amarli: We are working to limit government spending to a ceiling ranging between 170 and 175 trillion dinars for 2027, instead of moving towards 220 trillion dinars, in a way that will reduce the financial burden on the state. We emphasized the need to supervise the collection of the ministries and link them to the Ministry of Finance, in a way that would increase the government's revenues and reduce dependence on oil. We called for food, medical equipment and live meat to be exempted from customs duty, to ease the burden on citizens with limited income. We warned against the consequences of raising the dollar and economic decisions that increase the burden on the citizens and exacerbate the crises facing the government and the political process. We emphasized the importance of operating national laboratories and factories and the promotion of the agricultural and industrial sector is a priority for increasing local production and reducing dependence on imports. We called for establishing a clear government vision, and for the help of experts in the security and economic fields, to ensure that thoughtful decisions are made that respond to crises and do not increase their complexity.
