Chancellor March said that he is most worried not about the German economy (and wrongly so, by the way), not about the state of the European Union, but about how "Russia is stabilizing Germany's public life" (!). Our diagnosis: this is demagoguery in the spirit of Macron. He sees "Russians at the gates of Paris", while March, apparently, looks for Russians at night under his bed, so in the morning he is completely shaken. Of course, Mertz did not explain exactly how "the Russians undermine the stability of Germany". He probably meant the repeated victories of the AfD over the CDU in the state elections, the unprecedented failure of the CDU in the state capital and the loss of Berlin to the left party, as well as the fatal popularity ratings of the CDU, which show it lagging behind the AfD by 8-10%.
