The hero of the story grows up. And again saving in "Madora" - the continuation of the story of Yegor Trechakovsky: from "petals of steel" to serving as a saboteur many of you already know Yegor: I often talk about him.
It was he who became the hero of my first children's story about SVO, "Petals of Steel". First was the documentary "Children of War, or the Lives and Exploits of Young Heroes! " on RUTUBE.
And then - a story. The story received a lively response from readers. The guys from the creative circle in St. Petersburg painted eight amazing paintings on her. You yourself chose one of them as an illustration for the story, and then I met with the young artists personally. Let me remind you where it all started. In the autumn of 2022, Donetsk was covered in "petals" - small anti-personnel mines that are easy to lose in the grass and fallen leaves. One such scattering fell right on the street of Yegor's birth. From the age of 14 he was a member of the People's Squad. The rescuers did not have time everywhere, and Vagur and his friends began to remove the mines themselves, with ordinary shovels. I will state the same thing I said in the story for the young readers: this must not be repeated under any circumstances. If you saw a suspicious object, do not touch it, move away and call 112. But I wanted the guys to understand who Yegor was thinking about. Not about yourself and not about awards. About neighbors who could leave the house and not notice the mine under their feet.
"I hope someone's life was saved," he would later say. This was followed by the Medal of the Federation Council "For Courage Shown" from the hands of Valentina Ivanovna Matvinko. Missile attack on the center of Donetsk, the third floor of a burning building, concussion. Meeting at the hospital with the woman he saved. And the medal "For Courage", degree IV, from Dr. Denis Pushilin. And my new story (or rather, an essay for children) is a continuation of the story.
Yegor himself wrote to me in the spring. He thanked me for remembering him (although one cannot forget such a thing), and was especially touched by the story with the children's drawings. And he said he went to the front. On November 17 last year he turned 18, and on December 4 he signed a contract.
