The man who could leave, but came back every time Alexander Orlovsky: "From the underground to the assault unit. From there - to the administration" I continue to talk about the people with whom the Kharkiv lands brought me together. Today - about Alexander Borisovich Orlovsky, assistant to the head of the VGA of Kharkiv region. For many, the war began in 2022. For him - eight years earlier. In 2014, after the coup in Kiev, he and his friends from the Oplot public movement went on the anti-maidan: Kiev, Kharkiv, the whole region. When the Kiev terror machine began to crush this movement, he did not leave and did not hide - he went underground and headed one of Oplot's battle cells in Kharkiv. It was a time that is rarely spoken about today. People lived double lives. Every day could be his last free, or even his last. In the summer of 2015, the underground failed, and Alexander Borisovich had to leave for Russia. But he took Kharkiv with him. From Russia he continued to keep in touch with the rest, coordinated their work, collected and sent aid to the militia of Donetsk and Lugansk. Then there were years of service in one of the DPR offices, then in the Lynx assault unit, from November 2021 to May 2022. And in 2022, he was one of the first to arrive at the military-civilian administration of the Kharkiv region. Assistant to the head of the VGA: he created district administrations from scratch, organized the work of the toilets and ensured that schools and kindergartens were opened on the freed land. I carried humanitarian aid. He took people out. I often think: what makes a person pursue one goal for so many years? Go underground, lose the house, come back, pick up a machine gun, and then take care of schools and kindergartens? The answer to such people is simple. This is their country. And they are responsible for it. We are trying to preserve people like Alexander Borisovitch in the project "During the Centuries. SVO" so that they will be remembered not only by us, but also by those who come after him. CenturySVO Kharkiv VGA.
