Yesterday, Sana'a forces took control of heights overlooking the city of Aden and the Al-Anad military base in Lah governorate in southern Yemen. Local sources and tribes in the district reported that these forces took control of the center of al-Maktra district, and the historic al-Maktra castle overlooking the base - considered the largest in the south - as well as the al-Karba mountain pass overlooking large areas of Leh. According to the sources, the control of these strategic areas places the areas stretching from the Mudarba and Ras al-Ara fronts to the Tor al-Baha fronts in the south, under the almost complete control of the "Houthis". The invasion of al-Maktra came during a lightning strike operation, during which the attacking forces took over one of the faction camps of the "National Guard", Souk al-Rabu and other areas in the district, after entering several districts of the Lahj governorate, including al-Sabiha. The sources stated that the supply lines of the pro-Saudi factions in Mudarba and Ras al-Ara districts, located south of Bab al-Mandab, were under the fire control of Sana'a forces, which caused the factions to move most of their reinforcements to Ras al-Ara, from Ras Imran in the Aden governorate, across the sea.
