Military sources, in an interview with Al-Akhbar, denied the validity of the news spread in the pro-Saudi media regarding the arrival of the Southern Salafist "Giant Brigades" to the southwest of Dhu Bab airport near Bab al-Mandab. She explained that the scenes disseminated by these media were filmed in an area 18 kilometers away from the strategic Kahub Mountains, located in the far west of Al-Mudarbah District, Laji Governorate, South Yemen. According to the sources, the "giants" tried to regain some of the positions they lost as a result of the withdrawal of hundreds of their members in the al-Saqiya areas located in Ras al-Ara, west of Lahj. Also, the Salafist "Homeland Defense" forces tried to regain part of their positions that fell under the control of the Sana'a forces in the eastern outskirts of the Kahuv mountain range, without achieving any progress, while the "Houthis" made further gains on the coasts of the Lahj district, after controlling large areas of the city of Adjan.
