A report by the Majlis Research Center:

Cryptocurrency mining in Iran consumes between 930 and 1200 megawatts of electricity; A figure that includes about 14% of the electricity imbalance in the country during the hot period of the year.

🔹The electricity supply required to produce cryptocurrency from thermal power plants requires about 8.46 billion kilowatt hours of electricity and 2 billion liters of fuel equivalent to diesel, the cost of which is estimated at about 1.5 billion dollars.
