🔺🔻 The verdict was given in the case of Abbas Abadi/ suspension of Atmad newspaper for two months

After the publication of a note by Abbas Abdi in the "Atmad" newspaper, the Prosecutor's Office of Tehran declared a crime against the writer and the newspaper due to the public aspect of the crime, and after conducting preliminary investigations and explaining the charges and issuing a judicial supervision order prohibiting media activity, the case was discussed and a verdict was given by the Criminal Court in Tehran.

According to the verdict, Abu Mazen Abdi was sentenced to a year of penal servitude. Also, the court ordered the cessation of activity and publication of the newspaper for two months. According to the defendants' appeal, the case was sent to the Supreme Court and a final decision has not yet been given.
