In the quarter-finals Naushad Alamian faced Tomokazu Harimoto, ranked 4th in the world from Japan, and defeated this strong and young opponent with a score of 4:3, and while advancing to the semi-finals confirmed his bronze medal.

Almian won the first (11/9), second (11/7), fourth (11/6) and seventh (11/9) games and lost the third (11/3), fifth (16/14), sixth (11/6) games.
