In a meeting with the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Nawaf Salam, the President pointed to the deep historical and cultural ties between the two nations of Iran and Lebanon, emphasized the importance of friendly relations and constructive cooperation between the two countries, and praised the historical resistance of the Lebanese nation against Israel's occupation and aggression.

Emphasizing that the Islamic Republic of Iran wants the independence, development, stability and progress of the Lebanese nation, he said: Iran has always emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation and interaction between the countries of the region and to resolve issues through dialogue and mutual respect. The President also explained the dimensions of the war and the consequences of the military actions of the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and warned against the effects and consequences of such approaches on the security and stability of the region and the world. While emphasizing the development of relations with all the countries of the region and respecting the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of the countries, the Islamic Republic of Iran adheres to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of nations and will oppose any coercion and pressure against independent countries.

Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon, referring to the historical background of relations between Iran and Lebanon, stated that these relations are damaged and Beirut wants to establish and develop healthy, balanced and constructive relations with Tehran. 🔹️ The Prime Minister of Lebanon also explained the priorities of the government of this country, emphasized the necessity to stop Israel's occupation and withdrawal from Lebanese lands, stopping aggression and attacks, strengthening the authority and sovereignty of the government.

In this meeting, the two sides also discussed and exchanged views on the latest developments in the region, the developments in Lebanon and the need to strengthen bilateral and regional cooperation in the direction of peace, stability and sustainable security.
