š¹ Morteza Namati defeated Alvin Batikan from the Philippines in the 75 kg semifinals at the Asian Games Ichi-Nagoya with a score of 8:2 and qualified for the finals.
š¹ Nemati reached the semi-finals before with an 8-0 lead against Nurkanat Azkhanov, the champion of the previous Asian Games. In the final he will meet Dulat Nazmirdov from Turkmenistan.
š¹ With Nemati's promotion, Iran Karate has four finalists on the third day of the games; Fatemeh Zahra Seedabadi, Aliasghar Asiabari and the women's kata team also reached the final to win the gold medal.
