A senior member of Ansar Allah: Saudi Arabia asked Iran to mediate

Abdullah al-Nuami, a member of the political office of the Ansar Allah Yemen movement, told al-Mayadeen: There were reports that Saudi Arabia contacted the Islamic Republic of Iran to mediate with Yemen.

Before that, Ismail Bakai, spokesman for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized: "Ansar Allah is an independent player who makes his own decisions; he does not receive orders from anyone, nor is he a representative of others.

Al-Nuami added: The people of Yemen will not agree to any ceasefire until Saudi Arabia lifts the blockade on Yemen.

According to this senior official of Ansar Allah Yemen, Oman is currently the mediator between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
