🎥 For the first time in the last 100 years / scientists have discovered a new cat

The first tilcayo (Leopardus tilcayo) was found in Bolivia in 2016, but it was mistaken for a leopard cat. Biologists later performed a genetic analysis and confirmed it as an official new species.

This cat lives in the forests of Bolivia, but only two specimens have been identified so far.
