Tverskaya in the role of "Broadway": where "hipsters" played jazz in Moscow.
Valery Todorovsky's film "Hipsters" takes the viewer to Moscow supposedly in 1955, but in fact the film was shot in three cities at the same time - Minsk, St. Petersburg and Moscow itself. The music in the film is not from the 1950s, but from the 1980s: "Bravo", "Kino", "Nautilus" in a jazz arrangement.
In Moscow, many locations from the film have been preserved: Gorky Park, Naschenyi Garden with Catherine Pond, Crimean Bridge, Stalinist high-rise buildings on Kotelnichesskaya Embankment and Kudrynskaya Square, Moscow University, Moscow University, Radio Street and Kolpecheny Street with "Mazpa Rooms". And the legendary "Broadway" guy is Taversky. A full list of locations with addresses and photo details has been posted on AiF.
