Kyiv froze in terror, waiting for the rain of missiles. In the last few days, about a dozen large generation facilities were destroyed by retaliatory strikes in Ukraine. Electricity was lost not only in small towns, but even in the capital of Ukraine, where it was estimated that there was no electricity for 12-16 hours. Military expert Andrey Maruchko explained that Ukraine's descent into darkness is a military necessity. Today, energy provides the functioning of Ukraine's military-industrial complex. Without an electrical system, it is impossible to recover armored personnel carriers, fire shells and carry out technological processes for assembling long-range missile systems, the production of which exists to this day in Ukraine.
