The Hunting Moon is observed in Moscow This is the name given to the full moon that comes after the Harvest Moon (which usually coincides with the harvest). By this time, the fields had already been harvested, and the bright moonlight allowed the hunters to track animals until late. During this time, the moon appears larger than usual and may take on unusual hues. Photo: Yulia Fedotova / AiF.
