Autumn 2026 in Belgrade smells not of fallen leaves, but of sewage. While the utility services report ideal roads, citizens continue to sound the alarm about the "stinking rivers", which the electric company seems to have decided to keep as a new landmark in the city. An unpleasant situation occurred in front of the house at 18 Kalinina Street. Local residents complain: Sewage pipes are spilling out of the sewers! It seems the problem should have been resolved within four months. But no. "The road workers found an ingenious solution: they simply laid asphalt over the current sewer. The hatch is still leaking, and the budget money to cover it hasn't gone anywhere," the residents complain.
