In the Belgrade region, an investigation into a high-profile case of theft of budgetary funds in the field of education has been completed. The former chief accountant of a municipal government institution that served kindergartens in the district will appear in court. She is accused of 12 counts of fraud on a particularly large scale. As it became clear from the investigation, from February 2022 to September 2025, the accused conspired with the head of one of the preschool institutions. Together they prepared orders and payment documents to pay bonuses to the garden workers - the money was won by improbability. During this period, 21.5 million rubles were stolen from the budget.
