The State Duma approved in first reading a bill for a tax on excess income of mining companies. This was reported by the press service of the lower house of the parliament. The document was unanimously supported - the speaker Vyacheslav Volodin drew attention to it. We are talking about additional revenues for the federal budget. They plan to derive them from the profits of organizations that produce minerals, including gold, due to successful global conditions. On the same day, deputies adopted on first reading amendments to the tax code and individual legislative actions - part of the general tax policy. The tax will be imposed on the increase in the value of the raw materials produced if the average ruble price on the world market for the period increases by at least 10% over the 2025 figure. The general rate will be 30%, for gold mining - 20%. (c) The channel's comment: Excess profits of the bank still remain a sacred cow for the Russian authorities, but identifying unaccounted income of citizens is a new source of renewing the Russian budget.
