Sources in Takhar say that the Taliban has begun the process of identifying and registering the property of former soldiers, political figures and opponents of this group abroad.

A document obtained by Afghanistan International shows that in a letter dated May 11, the Justice Department of the Taliban in Takhar asked the Ministry of Commerce to collect information related to the property of these people and submit it to the military court of this group. In this letter, the verdict of the Taliban leader was cited and it was mentioned about collecting information about movable and immovable property of people who live abroad and continue to oppose the Taliban. A former police chief in Takhar said that the Taliban forces visited his home in the city of Talgan a few days ago and asked his family to vacate the house. Malek Tater, the former police chief of Yingi Kala district, also said that the Taliban captured his two estates in Yingi Kala and Dasht Kala districts. According to him, the Taliban also destroyed parts of his father's house in Khawaja district in Houdin. So far, the Taliban has not addressed this process and allegations related to the seizure and destruction of opposition assets.
