In response to the defeat of the Republican Party in the mid-term elections in the United States, Muhammad Bakr Khalibaf, the chairman of the Islamic Council, said that the people of this country said "no" to war.
He wrote: "Americans said no to war, both out of conscience and because of the cost of living, and we welcome this message."
